Andrew's Technical Background
Andrew has 30 years experience of commercial and residential building construction initially has a designer of new and refurbished buildings before moving into the world of building appraisal, investigation and then latterly as an expert witness.
By profession Andrew is a chartered civil and structural engineer wholly working in the field of specialist building surveys, investigations, repair specifications and acting as an expert witness.
In particular Andrew has seven years experience working as the in house technical expert for Watts and then CNP gaining first-hand knowledge of how building surveyors operate and the requirements of their property owner and investor clients. This allows the findings of our technical work to be tailored to suit, for example, landlord and tenant or dilapidations commissions.
Andrew is an accredited expert witness member of the Academy of Experts and has extensive experience on a wide range of building defect matters having prepared numerous expert reports and giving evidence in court many times.
LECTURES AND PAPERS
Andrew Tee lectured on ‘Curtain Wall Durability Issues’ at the 2010 RICS National Dilapidations Conference and presented ‘behind the facade’ a paper in the RICS Building Surveying Journal regarding planned maintenance of cladding.
